Kiers Garage in ChatGPT and Claude

Free tools for people buying used and salvage cars to fix and sell in the UK. They work inside ChatGPT and Claude, with no account and no sign-in.

What the tools do

IAA UK max bid

Works backwards from what the car sells for once it's fixed, your repair costs and the profit you want, to the most you should bid. It uses IAA UK's buyer fee bands (standard and high volume), the admin fee, the £50 retrieval fee and VAT on fees, in £10 steps, with the full cost breakdown at that bid.

IAA UK all-in cost

Takes a hammer price and adds every fee, VAT, transport, an HPI check and your repairs and sundries, so you see what the car really costs. Add a sale price and it shows the profit and whether it beats your target.

First flip pre-check

Scores an IAA lot or a Facebook Marketplace car against beginner buying rules. Hard stops include Cat S, no keys, flood or fire, over 125,000 miles and outstanding finance. You get a verdict (go, caution or walk away), the reasons, and the checks still to do.

The numbers match the free max bid calculator and the member tools. IAA can change its fees, so check the fees on the lot before you bid.

How to use them

ChatGPT: open Plugins, search for Kiers Garage and connect it. Then ask in plain English, or type @ and choose Kiers Garage.

Claude: open Settings, then Connectors, and search the directory for Kiers Garage. You can also add it as a custom connector with this address: https://kiersgarage.com/mcp

Things to try:

  • "What's my max bid at IAA UK on a car that sells for £3,500 once fixed, with £450 of parts?"
  • "I won an IAA lot at £1,500. What does it cost me all in?"
  • "Pre-check this IAA lot: Cat N, 98,000 miles, keys present, engine management light on."

What they don't do

  • Copart, BCA and other auctions: their fees are different, so the IAA maths doesn't apply.
  • Valuations: you supply the sale price. Base it on what similar cars actually sell for.
  • Finance, insurance or legal advice. Every figure is an estimate to help you decide; the decision is yours.

Your data

The tools only receive the numbers and checklist answers put into them. We don't receive your name, your email address or your conversation. We keep a short log of which tool was used, when, how long it took and whether it worked, and nothing you typed.
